Dennis G. Dunn II, Biography
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dennis G. Dunn II is Pastor of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the Founder and Executive Director of Mercy M2 International®, which he established in 2012 to serve people who are fighting famine and homelessness; the orphaned and widowed, and those who lack medical assistance.
Under Dunn’s leadership, Mercy M2 is poised to ease poverty and health concerns that impact children and families who live in under-resourced countries and communities. His purpose-driven initiatives have led to 325-plus homes built for orphans and widows, 350-plus children fed every month in Ahero and Kisumu, Kenya, and dozens of bikes and helmets donated to families, churches, community organizations, and prison officers in Belmopan, Belize. His passion to help those who cannot help themselves inspired him to plant three churches in the Republic of Kenya—Fellowship Missionary Baptist Churches of Ahero, Awasa, and Kisumu. Dunn has led mission trips to Guyana, South America; Hong Kong, China; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; San Pedro Sula, Honduras; Managua, Nicaragua; Belize, Central America; the Republic of Kenya; Malawi, Central Africa; and Israel.
Dunn also is Founder and Executive Director of Pathways Encouraging a Better Life® which he established in 2020 as a weekly Bible study meditation broadcast on YouTube and Facebook. In 2023, he celebrated 10 years as one of the featured speakers of Pathway to Life Ministries on My Refuge Christian Ministries radio in Belmopan, Belize. Dunn’s sermons are broadcast in two Central American countries daily at 1:00 p.m. (CST). Mercy M2 International® and Pathways Encouraging a Better Life® became trademarked and registered entities in 2022 and 2023, respectively, due to Dunn’s steadfast dedication to pour God’s love into people across the world.
As pastor of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Dunn cofounded First Fruits Christian Academy along with his wife, Laverne Dunn. He previously served as first and second vice president of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico, a Southern Baptist affiliate, and executive board member with the Missions Department of the New Mexico Baptist Convention.
Dunn is a proud native of New Orleans, Louisiana and the author of the book, God’s Got This. He moved to Albuquerque in 1992 and later was called to pastor Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, whose motto: “The Church Without Walls, Going in a New Direction,” has been a catalyst for its global expansion. Dunn and his wife, Laverne, have two adult children and two grandchildren.
